It's been a While

So much has been going on that I haven't had time to sit and type what exactly I'm doing. Strawberries are growing and are being sold, just about every day. We've had one person come and pick, but mostly we are doing the picking. On top of keeping the strawberry orders caught up, we're finally getting close to have every row (of the new plants) tilled and weeded. I can't wait to take a picture to show you what we've been working so diligently on the past few weeks. The new plants are also running. *a strawberry running means that the plant is growing out a stem like "runner" that will eventually plant a new plant* We don't want runners with the new plants because then the plant puts so much energy into the runner, rather than then berries. Plus the runners would make it too crowded for how we plan to keep it clean - weedless. I'm really liking the work, nothing different from what I expected.

I've been reading through a study and God is really speaking to me to let him live through me. It really is amazing how much more I can glorify when I continue to remind myself that it is He who lives through me. Thankfully, James is there to help me.

I'm getting excited for Sunday! It's the kick-off for Summer Bible School. We've printed and handed out over 100 invitations. Join me in prayer, for the hearts of the kids that will come. I'm also praying that parents will be willing to fit something "else" into their schedule for the sake of their kids to be learning about the one true love.

Those are the latest and the greatest - I guess you can say. : )

Here's a funny little story for you:

A woman and her husband came to pick strawberries the other day. They brought the lil girl, who is two years old. So cute! She was sitting in the car for the time they picked berries. After about 15 or so, they were about done and she was getting antsy. When she got out of the car before they left, the funniest thing happened. Of course she wanted the big red juicy looking things. She stumbled over the uneven ground, falling a few times. Then she gets over to the patch and squats like two years old squat, smiles real big with a screech. She grabs a big one from mom's bowl and stands up just looking at it. Then she decides it would be nice to sit and enjoy this yummy looking thing...RIGHT ONTO OF A PLANT! As funny as it was I had to keep from lauging. Mom and dad didn't really realize she just squashed a plant! Oh boy, it made me laugh after they left. James made a few grunts and didn't think it was quite as funny. He laughed after we realized she plopped perfectly, just enough in the middle that she didn't hit a single berry. Check out the picture.

PLOP!
