21st Birthday Gifts...

I've received many cards and gifts this year and I loved every one of them! If I would have had a birthday party you would have seen me receive this:
(In Order of First to Last Received)

From Rachel:

I'm still working on the last book she gave me
Love the photo, which was taken while she
was in NY with me.
The card made my laugh and want to cry
She knows, I love those chewy sprees!
I love you Rachel!

From my Parents:

Super cute coat
Personable card
and
Old time favorite:
SWEDISH FISH!
(one of those packages is gone, the other is opened)
I love you Mom and Dad!

See? Super Cute!

From James:

Funny Story:
While at the Cream Cheese Festival, James and his uncle go into Cozy Country Corner. Clearly it's a knick-knack store. They were in there quite a long time and James's aunt was getting a little worried they might be up to something. Well here comes James, empty handed, out the door. Ed, James's uncle still in there. Strange. James asks me, "Do you like beige or maroon better" I tell him maroon. He goes back in, leaving me very nervous. You NeVeR know what he's up to...then they walk out with a paper bag. "Oh Dear" I thought. Sure enough it was this tin star! They are quite the thing out here. Almost every house has them - much larger than this one of course! It was pretty funny...

And of course, the wine.
And Mike's Hard Pomegranate Lemonade
-which I am sipping on as I speak type-
Sure does feel weird to be sipping alcohol...

The gift of Chicken Korma Curry
YUM!

The heart Strawberry Cheesecake!
(that he also made)

From My Godparents:

They sent me a lovely card
and an Applebees Gift card!
Yum, I love food!

From Picker "Ed":

Ed sent put in the mailbox
an unexpected card, that I really enjoyed
getting!
Thanks Ed!

From My Grandma:

Yet another card I wasn't expecting!
...and the extra cash, that I Finally
got to purchase two perfumes that
I've been wanted to buy!

I still can't believe I am twenty-one. I don't feel like it, in my mind I still seem like I am in high school, yet when I see high school aged kids, I wonder if they think I am twenty-one. Well, I guess next year I'll be twenty-two... NOW THAT is unbelievable. Time, if you read my blog, please slow down!
To the rest of you, thanks for the gifts, cards, birthday wishes, and of course your friendship!

Cream Cheese Festival

On Saturday September 19th we went to the Cream Cheese Festival with James's Aunt, Uncle and Cousin, after watching his cousin Curt play a game of football. The day was so fun!

I forgot my camera to take picture of the game, but I did bring it to the festival!

I painted on the Cream Cheese Mural.
Can you see the message I made for you?

...Grabbing more Cream Cheese..

Finishing it up...

Done. Can you read it now?*

This is the pan for the Larges Cheesecake in World!
Notice it is all gone...

But don't worry,
James and I got the last two pieces on the table!**
There was a cream cheese toss! Can you believe that?! What a waste..but all in fun!

Take note of the clean road.

First Round: And the road is cream cheese'd

That was one close call for James's cousin!
We all had to move a few times to prevent
being cream cheese'd!

Notice the cream cheese ball right
on the front his his helmet?
There were several instances of cream cheese
to the face, for them, not us, thankfully!

*If you couldn't tell the message I painted was:
"Hi MN"
**Disclaimer: After we grab the last two from the
table, they put one more piece of "scrap" out.

Birthday Winery Trip

Today, since it was my 21st birthday, James and I took a trip out to Tug Hill Winery! It was an absolutely beautiful vineyard, with grapes, raspberries, blueberries, and apples, not to mention the wine cellar! We sampled about 6 different wines, which I REALLY wanted to take a picture of, being my first taste of anything alcoholic, but I didn't get the chance to. Without further ado, allow me to show you some picture from the day!

We started out with breakfast.
His grandmother wanted to come with us
(it was her ideal actually)
But at the last minute decided she couldn't go

Then we were on our way to
Tug Hill Winery

We did arrive...
And James took a picture of me by the sign.

See? Very Beautifully placed!
There are actually a group of birds
flying in the sky but I don't think they are
Very noticeable in this small of a picture.

(no need for a caption, just me in the vineyard)

There were tons of Grapes...

..Rows and Rows...

..of grapes!

James bought me us three bottles.
One semi-dry and two sweet!

We haven't opened any of them yet, after sampling about a glass of different wines, I was feeling sick really sleepy. I'm sure they'll last us a while.. it sure was fun and quite the experience.
James also did one last thing for me. He cooked me some chicken korma curry, YUM, with garlic naan bread, EXTRA YUM!*

And.. a cute strawberry cheesecake!*
*pictures to come!
