Rainy Day...

What do strawberry farmers do when it rains? Well...in NY we clean house! haha, Mom you will be proud to hear that I've swept, swept, and swept so more so that I could scrub the floor. Hands and Knees! James and I also clean out some cupboards so that we could wash some dishes and put them into a clean place. We wash a whole bathtub of dishes! Whoosh...so many dirty dishes, but they are clean now! OH and I got to sleep in, till 10! : )
As I told you I had to present my Kids Program material and ideas on Sunday to the board. AND... it went well. THEY EVEN CLAPPED FOR I ME! : ) They are just happy that someone is willing to start something and God has told me, "IT'S YOU!" So we're in the process with that! Mom and Dad, I got your letters! : ) Thanks and also Did you cash that check? Just curious. Well, I guess I better get some sleep!
I love you all!

  1. *Wish I would've sent your e-mail sooner so you could've read it before going to bed!*

Glad to hear things went well with the 'material presentation'... you will have to give me some details on that.

Doesn't it just feel good to 'clean house' sometimes? I've been cleaning everything lately... Probably because I'm no longer cleaning 'everything' of Jennifer's anymore. I will miss seeing her kids this summer... but I will get a little treat when I start working for her next fall because her baby will be due and I'll get to help out with FOUR kids then! :)

The kids at Kids Play are so rambunctious... it is NUTS. Today... in my measly 4 hour shift (some of which was taken up by touring the building/paperwork
/meeting people) I already played: a few rounds of war, few rounds of slap jack, Dog-opoly, Big Fish Little Fish, Trouble, Mancala, and Spoons... as well as colored a few pictures. I don't EVER recall playing so many games in one day when I was a child!

It is funny seeing all of the kids personalities. For instance...

I kept asking the kids their names because I obviously didn't know anyone...then a first grade girl asks, "Why do you keep asking everyone that?!"
And then a third grade girl says, "Don't be rude Natalie! She is a new staff!" Then she turns to me and says, "Its ok Rachel."
Haha... it was so funny. I don't even have to stick up for myself I guess. ;)

Anyways. God bless you ya Lil' Farmer. Love you.

    Reminder: Hebrews 4:15-16

  2. Dear Anna,
I found you and had so much great reading to do to catch up. The Peters fam. says HI!

You have been working really hard lately, be sure you plan some time to enjoy too. It is interesting to me to see how things are going, personally, I think God is growing way more than strawberries in NY honey. And He adores your servant heart!

The tip about housework is doing little every day! (not that I follow my own tips, but they are nice to share) Check out FlyLady on the web, she has a wonderful plan. It does work! And it make way less work too.
We miss you lots and love you lots.
    Praying for you today!
