Just to encourage you, because I've been encouraged this weekend. It started with a day in the field. I was listening to Pastor Tom on my IPOD and a verse caught me, then on Sunday Pastor Dave said the same verse and it struck me agian. It made me think, on a more inimate level with God and I realized I've fallen. I notice patterns in my life that I get caught up in the groove. I find myself forgetting to ask God what his will is for my life and I forget to consider him before I act on a daily basis. So I want to encourage you, my loved ones, to continue to or to begin asking God what it is HE wants you to be doing, who to witness to, how to react to things going on in your life. Don't forget be praying that His will would be done in your life, not your own. And please be praying for me as I seek him for strength and wisdom to do his will over mine, so that I can better represent him to those around me.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

These verses were the 'reading' at my church this weekend (although it was BARELY touched on... bummer since it carries such a STRONG message) and I just posted it on Ryans Myspace as a reminder. How funny... God's hittin us with the same stuff, thousands of miles apart. : )
ReplyDeleteAnyways, the verse is a good reminder that we really are required to do more than just call upon the Lord... there is follow up and obedience necessary for those interested in the Kingdom of Heaven. Which would, most certainly, pertain to us.
Be obedient and listen to His real calling, beautiful girl.
I miss you and love you and pray for you from home. :)
