Fun Surprises!

In the last two weeks, okay maybe three by now, I've received some fun things in the mail, that truly made my day! I love to receive things in the mail and the notes mean so much to me!

The first thing I received was from the Peters family. A family that I've come to love and consider very dear to me as I've cared for Evan and Aiden ever since they were very young - by that I mean newborns. I can't believe it's been over 8 years of watching them grow into respectable young and very fun little guys! Seriously, the games we make up are so fun (and educational, most of the time). When I go over to care for the guys, it's like I'm going over to play with my friends. I am so glad to have them in my life and even though I'm as far as I am, they are close to my heart. They sent me a box filled with fun and even sent someone to visit:

right into one of my empty frames, just perfectly!

My second surprise was from the Postuma family. A family that I've more recently come to love. I met Samara through Rachel, who met Rachel through Craig's List, because of a need to watch their little boy Henry. Am I thankful for Craig's List - and that Rachel and Samara were both trusting enough to use it. As Rachel moved back to Crown and I moved back home, they needed another person to watch after Henry. That's where I come in! Henry was - and still is, a busy boy! I hardly had to play with him and a lot of times we'd try reading and he'd decide he had something more fun to do. We would cruise from his room to the living room and he would laugh and laugh and oh a laugh I miss. This may make me look like a terrible childcare provider, but I just have to share this:

But I remember this day so clearly
At first he was just "playing the drums"
on the chair with his harms through the back
Then I remember seeing the idea form in his head
as the banging slowed down.
I warned him "Henry, you might get stuck.."
But being the adventureous boy that he was
..is, he had to try.
She enough, seconds later he is trying to stand
and the chair went up with him
He just stared at me like that
thinking, "Help? I'm stuck?"
It was soo cute, I had to snap a picture before
helping him out!

Since this picture, Henry (and the rest of the Postuma family) have been blessed with an adorable, never NOT smiling (I swear) little girl, Evelyn, whom, I've only cared for a couple of times. They sent me something that I was so thrilled to receive and with it I've enjoyed a few of these:
