The Things They Say

I'm going to start a regular posting about The Things They Say, because seriously, the kids at the daycare just make want to laugh SO hard sometimes. So whenever I have a good chunk of The Things They Say, I'll post them up, because hopefully they will make you laugh too!

Savannah (3) after eating an english muffin: "This is GELICIOUS!" as in good+delicious. She told me that it really is a word too.

Jed (3) said to me after I asked him if he used soap while he washed his hands. "Yesh, like when I shaw my daddy take a shower, he ushesh shoap on hish back." I hoped the story ended there, but just to be sure I rudely interrupted and said "okay Jed lets dry your hands"

Savannah (3) after I gave her some apple juice: "Does this have red dye in it? Because I am REALLY allergic to red dye". This probably doesn't read as funny as it was, she was just so dramatic.

Jasmine (6) said to Savannah (3) "Her is going to be blue" and Savanna said "No, the yellow one is she's"

Savannah (3) said to me as I itched my eye: "Don't pick your nose, it will bleed!". She was sitting on the other side of me and couldn't tell that my finger wasn't actually up my nose, just along side of it.

Remy (3) said to me after I asked her if she was done going potty "No, I have lots and lots and LOTS more..."

Savannah (3) asked me "Do you want to come to my house to have a sleep over?" I said, "That would be fun, but you have to ask your mom first." Not expecting anything to come of it. But on the following Monday her mom says to me "Savannah asked if Miss Anna could come to our house to have a sleep over." I couldn't believe she remembered and actually asked her mom.

Morgan (4) while playing "get Miss Anna ready for the ball" said to me: "You look ugly, we have to fix your hair" ...that was after they had pulled out random pieces from my ponytail and made my hair into one snarly mess.
Savannah (3) told her mom "Miss Anna taught me how to keep my nose warm like this" *covers nose with two fingers* "She is the best Miss Anna, I know, she really is"

~As you can tell, Savannah is one of the more...vocal, ones.
(I don't have favorites either, no not me, but if I did...)

  2. The child's red dye comment is interesting -- and in the long run, not humorous. Synthetic, petroleum-based food and beverage dyes are being banned in the U.K. and Australia and hopefully soon in the U.S. The Suntava Corporation, based in Minnesota, has perfect an all-natural alternative to the likes of Red 40.
